Description

This guy is up for sale - his price is 50$ + shipping (about 10$)

I didn't manage to sell him on eBay, but luckily I've just got the job, so now my Flynn can patiently wait for an interested person :)

Oh gosh it is finally done.

It really took aaages to finish. It was my first fully made sculpture in Super Sculpey. I love this clay, although as it was my first time with it I made lots and lots of mistakes... I had to put like 10 layers of paint because I didn't sand it as I should, I though the paint would cover the scratches :I Well it didn't. Also I was surprised how all the irregularities went up after painting, I'll remember to fully smooth my sculptures before baking in the future.

Anyway generally I like it. Persian is my favorite Pokemon and I've always felt it is a little bit unappreciated. I've named him Flynn as you can read in the below's doodle description. I'm quite sure that I'll stick to Super Sculpey now, and leave that nasty air-drying clay FOR EVER. Soon I'll upload Rarity made with air-dry clay and you'll see why I am so angry about it ; /

I wanted to make it as cartoony and pokemon-like as possible at first, but eventually I made him a tiny bitty more realistic. I think I caught the cat-cougar mix quite well :)

Anyway tell me what you think in the comments if you want :)

Time taken: Feels like whole eternity. But I guess it's because I was learning to work with this clay. Started in the end of March
Materials used: metal wires (3 types), aluminium foil, Super Sculpey, acrylic paints.
Dimensions: about 16 cm length and 6 cm height

If you like it you can check out this quick doodle based on the sculpture sketch I made in breaks:

Also here are shots of different stages of making Flynn and of unpainted sculpture:
